Caustic

My practical, smart and caustic mom died almost 16 years ago. From the minute she was diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer until she was gone three years later, I telephoned her every day. -- Dougherty, K. " Calls to mom are priceless. Defined: (Merriam-Webster) Toxic like quality with a power to destroy or burn something by chemical action. A person or thing that is very harsh and critical, corrosive.
